Pet Photo Cubes!

Pet Photo Cubes

With Christmas just around the corner, I created these Pet Cube Christmas ornaments to celebrate the pets in my life. After all, pets are a huge part of our lives! Since the cubes were black, I went with a black & white theme. Of course, a bone hanging down to tease the little furkids! This Christmas, will feature several more of these cubes with all the pets I’ve had the pleasure of loving through the years. You can just bet they will be getting doggie/kitty stockings full of wonderful treats this year! With all the hub-bub of the gift giving season, the spirit of Christmas is forgotten. Make sure you spend TIME with those you love and give them YOU, the most precious gift of all.

Karen Burniston designed this collapsible cube that is so versatile that you’ll be creating all kinds of things! You will see other designers use this cube in such clever ways….make sure you visit every single one of them! Click on the Sizzix Triple-Blog Hop master list & begin your journey.

Sizzix Triple Play Blog Hop - Week 1 Rose Cottage

FINALLY, we got to the first week of the Sizzix Triple Play Blog Hop!
Every Thursday, a new die from designers: Eileen Hull, Brenda Pinnick and Karen Burniston will be featured in very different ways by 62 designers! Click on the Sizzix button at the top right to jump from one design for a peek at some wonderful eye candy!

The first Sizzix design is from Eileen Hull, the 3-D House Die. Cut on a Sizzix machine using mat board, it is a very study form and so much fun to put together & decorate.

Here is my finished design using Eileen Hull's 3D House: Rose Cottage

When I first saw this die, I had fairy tale visions running throughout my head, thus Rose Cottage was created. Decorated with fabric roses, silver foil and scrapbook paper, this little cottage is waiting for a future queen to arrive.

A close up shot at the foiled entrance.

Late at night you can even see the soft glow of the lights from inside Rose Cottage, further beckoning tired wanderers in for a much needed rest.

To create this fairy tale cottage for your own little ones (or big ones):
