Paper Flower Pins

I saw this tutorial somewhere (that's what I get for surfing!) and thought I'd give it a try with a discarded newspaper. After all, not much GOOD news to report in them right now anyways. And politics, do NOT get me started!! I'd rather make flowers out of the news! I'll be trying this technique from an old dictionary I got from my father in law to see if the paper feels & acts any different than the newspaper I used.
I cut out 5 inch scalloped circles since I don't have a die cut.....imagine that! After watering down 4 colors of Adirondack inks, I then sprayed them using a mister. As an afterthought, I then spritzed with gingerbread glimmer mist. The centers are from discarded flowers that I took apart & have been using on all kinds of projects. The centers are discarded jewelry pieces that I felt looked wonderful for the bling aspect of the flowers. The paper flowers are then glued on a pin so it can be worn proudly. This was SO MUCH FUN to make! I can't wait to try more colors!

Enjoy!

Oh, these are so pretty. How many layers of newspaper do you use for each flower?
