Graduating May 3, 2008

I've got the most wonderful friends! Roxi & Candice & Larry came down to take me (along with my supportive half) out to eat lunch this past Friday. I can't say enough at how these two women have blessed our lives.....especially mine. Thanks girls!! (Larry became an honary member of the GIRLS club while in CA).

Last night at the Artistic Stampers meeting.......my dear friends had me a little party going on! What wonderful night.....every club member got a special TREAT box of paper from Scrap Club (a departing member is not able to stamp anymore & donated a lot of items to the club) with stamps, books, inkpads, etc. galore! I WILL NOT look through my goodies throughly until I finish 2 paintings for a final critique tomorrow at noon! Only until then will I be able to create without limits!

Dianne, last night I bought some new stamps to use on our MOO swap! Can't wait to get started on them & get them sent in.

May 3rd is THE big day for me. I'll graduate from Jackson State Community College with an
Associates of Applied Science degree in Graphic Design Technology with an emphasis in Technical Illustration......a mouthful for saying I'll have a degree in Graphic Design! It's been a very interesting few years. I've learned a lot of new techniques to apply to my job as the Director of Printing & Mail Services......that's for sure! I will walk in the commencement ceremony because it's the LAST time I'll ever walk. I'll never be a Dr. Goff!

From here on out my time will be devoted to designing for Artistic Outpost as well as for VG Designs. I plan on doing a Designer Showcase as part of CHA during the month of July. I've got a theme going & a few designs created but now I'll be free to get down to the real creating I'm meant to do.

Thanks to ALL my friends who have supported me through the years as I had to lean on several more than a few times to say the least!
